STG is a certified Electronic Waste Collection Site.

 

STG has been providing Computer and Network Services to the Jamestown area for over 10 years, and recycling Toner Cartridges since 1996. But now we are also a Certified PC Recycling Site. (NYS; Electronic Waste Collection Site)

Bring us your old Computers, Monitors and Printers and we will dispose of them FREE of charge.

This is a Recycling project. Your PC will be dismembered and the components separated so that the raw materials can be recovered/recycled.

‘Electronic Equipment’ includes:

  • Computers (towers and laptops)
  • Computer Peripherals
    • Monitors
    • Electronic Keyboards
    • Electronic Mice or Similar Pointing Devices
    • Facsimile Machines
    • Document Scanners
  • Computer Printers
  • Only those intended for use with a computer and weighing less than 100 lbs.


The electronic equipment must be intact. Specifically for computer monitors – the screen must be intact. A broken screen has already released Hazardous Materials and creates additional handling hazards.

This is a free service to NYS residents. Bring this equipment to our location at 280 Tiffany Ave, Jamestown

All computer hard drives are electronically wiped clean and/or physically shredded, but no documentation will be available as proof of destruction. Computers should be dropped off free of personal data as a precaution.

Businesses that have unwanted Electronic Equipment can have it picked up at their business location. Documentation of Destruction is available to businesses. There are handling and paper processing fees for Destruction Documentation, but the disposal cost of the equipment is free. Call for details and costs. (716) 484-9105 x204
